From Saturday 17 to Sunday 25 October, Orchids Info and lighting design studio Aptum are presenting a joint exhibition at Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven for the third year running. Aptum, known for its unique, custom-made lighting designs, has once again transformed its studio into a blossoming setting filled with orchids from Dutch growers. The result is a colourful botanical indoor garden, surrounded by light objects in geometric shapes.

 

 

From Milan to Eindhoven

Orchids inspire many designers and are a perfect fit for the world of design. For years, the plants have been part of Masterly, the platform for Dutch design during Milan Design Week. It was there that Aptum and Orchids Info discovered their shared passion for vibrant, bright colours and expressive patterns and shapes. That mutual fascination led to a natural cross-pollination. In 2024 it resulted in a floral wall with illuminated geometric shapes, in 2025 a blooming indoor garden, and this year a new edition of ‘In Full Bloom’. Last spring, orchids were in the spotlight in Milan once again, this time in collaboration with the sustainable furniture brand Hayvenhurst.
